Setting of standards through the provision and administration of a scheme to endorse nurseries and children’s centres that serve nutritious, fresh, sustainably sourced food and support the babies and children in their care to develop good eating habits for life; setting of standards through the provision and administration of a scheme to endorse schools that serve nutritious, fresh, sustainably sourced food and support pupils to eat well and enhance their learning with cooking, food growing and farm links; setting of standards through the provision and administration of a scheme to endorse catering and restaurant services that serve nutritious, fresh, sustainably sourced food and the content of their menus and dishes (including whether the food and drink are freshly prepared, local, seasonal, free-range and/or organic); setting of standards through the provision and administration of schemes to endorse hospitals, care homes and other private and public sector organisations that serve nutritious, fresh, sustainably sourced food; provision of technical support; all relating to the promotion of the benefits of eating and growing good quality, organic, healthy and sustainable food, and social interaction through food.
