APIs (abbreviation of application programming interface) are a set of functions and procedures that allow the creation of applications which access the features or data of an operating system, application, or other service. There are a range of APIs covering: The Face API allows us to, for example: Detect and recognise faces (also in images) Extract features such as gender and age Identify individuals The Emotion API allows to identify the type of emotion exhibited in a facial image.
