The trademark applied for is to provide a training educational and cultural platform that will make it possible for young people interested in working in the fashion industry to showcase their skills to UK fashion elite. This progamme will comprise an awards event together with various promotional activities all of which will support and promote government backed education and apprenticeship efforts. The programme is intended to reduce youth unemployment by making available apprenticeships and subsequent work opportunities to young people who would otherwise be unemployed or no longer advancing their education. All programme participants will be eligible for apprenticeships and mentor programmes. Also the programme will assist school careers advisors other educators parents and the general public by making them aware of government backed apprentice initiatives. The programme will be a consumer focused event as opposed to a trade event with an academic basis. The aim here is to provide a platform to promote developing fashion talent as opposed to specific brands. Part of the programme will include the filming of a television documentary which will look behind the scenes and follow the young people as they compete for an award. The programme will place a strong emphasis on local fashion and will support UK based young people looking for a career in the fashion industry.
